How to prepare for the State Leadership Conference
A month-by-month checklist to show up at Pierre ready to compete — and to place.
Prepare for the South Dakota FBLA State Leadership Conference in Pierre. January: confirm your event and read the guidelines line by line. Most points are lost on format, not content.
February: practice under real conditions. Time your presentations and take sample tests with a timer.
March: get feedback from someone outside your chapter — a teacher, parent, or local business owner.
April: pack professional dress, print copies of anything you need, and get a good night's sleep before you compete.
